After featuring for Hitech GP at the post-season FIA Formula 3 test in Jerez last autumn, Sebastián Montoya will join the team in a full-time race seat for the 2023 season, partnering Luke Browning and Gabriele Mini.
The Red Bull Junior Driver and son of Formula 1 star Juan-Pablo Montoya graduated from karting to single seaters back in 2020, and spent two seasons fighting at the front of the German and Italian F4 Championships to gain crucial experience.
A regular fixture on the podium in both series, Montoya then stepped up to contest a dual Asian and European campaign in Formula Regional, winning two races in the former. That, as well as a handful of IMSA sportscar outings, left the 17-year-old ready for the next challenge in his fledgling career – FIA Formula 3.
