Luke Browning notched up another podium and 18 crucial points at the end of an impressive weekend in Monte Carlo. He finished third today in an action-packed Feature Race which, combined with the points from his P8 finish in the Sprint, leaves him just four points adrift of the championship lead.
On the opening lap in yesterday’s race, Luke was able to move up from his P10 grid slot to eighth, passing his early season title rival Fornaroli.
As was the case in the Sprint, today’s Feature Race was punctuated by several safety car interventions. Starting from third, it was all about driving a clean and consistent race, and staying out of trouble and focusing on the big picture of the battle for the championship.
“I’m very happy with P3 in Monaco,” said Luke. “Happy, good points, and a really good job by the team. I’m really looking forward to Barcelona now.”
Rain and red flags made it difficult to build momentum in free practice and qualifying respectively, limiting race preparation. Nonetheless, Martinius Stenshorne had a great race on Saturday, propelling himself from 28th on the grid to P16, which is impressive progress at a circuit like Monaco.
It proved a more difficult task for Martinius and Cian to gain ground in the Feature Race but the results bely the improvements made across the team since the Barcelona test. Both drivers learned a lot about the very specific nature of this track and how to get the best from the car and themselves – valuable experience they will carry forward into the next rounds.

There is a short break now before the action resumes in Barcelona at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona from 21-23 June.
